Business:
Women working or involved in a commercial or a public organisation in an innovative way.
Professional:
Women working in a professional capacity.
Arts & Media:
Women working or involved in the broad spectrum of the Arts and Media.
Humanitarian:
Women who may or may not be in paid employment, working for a Not for Profit organisation or women working in the public or private sector who contribute to the voluntary sector in their spare time.
Entrepreneur:
Women running or managing a business that they themselves have created/initiated.
AWARDS CRITERIA
The Awards are for women with an outstanding European focus to their activities with significant achievement in their chosen field.
The judges will be looking for achievement where the individual concerned has been a pioneer or an instigator of the success. Personal commitment, determination and an ability to overcome obstacles are some of the characteristics the judges will be seeking.
All nationalities will be considered for the Awards provided they are based within the geographical boundaries of Europe. The achievement should promote European understanding and progress.

The judging of the shortlisted nominees will take place in London on 16th May 2007. All shortlisted nominees and their proposers will be invited to attend the 18th European Women of Achievement Awards to be held on Friday 4th July 2008 in the Great Room, Grosvenor House, London UK when the awards will be presented at a luncheon.
