THE PURPOSE OF THESE NOTES
These notes are to assist a Proposer to complete the Nomination Form.
WHO CAN BE A PROPOSER
Anyone can propose another person for an Award. Proposers can be from any country, any organisation or company and can be private citizens.
WHO CAN BE NOMINATED - AWARD CATEGORIES
Business: Women working or involved in a commercial or a public organisation in any capacity.
Professional: Women working in any capacity that requires either professional qualifications or professional skills.
Arts & Media: Women working or involved in the broad spectrum of the Arts and Media.
Humanitarian: Women who may or may not be in paid employment, working for a Not for Profit organisation or women working in the public or private sector who contribute to the voluntary sector in their spare time.
Entrepreneur: Women running or managing a business that they themselves have created/initiated.
THE ROLE OF THE PROPOSER
The Proposer has a key role in the judging process. He/She completes the Nomination Form, obtains the consent of the Nominee and submits the nomination. This is step one of the process.
THE PROCESS
The judging and the award process is in 4 steps as follows:
* At this stage further information may be requested about the Nominee before the shortlist is finalised and goes forward for interview by the Award Judges (step 3).
All short listed Nominees and their Proposers are invited to the Awards Luncheon.
QUALITY OF INFORMATION
It is important that the information on the Nomination Form is clear and concise. It will be used both by the Judging Panel and the Award Judges. The Judging Panel examines the Nomination Forms to ensure that the Award Criteria have been met. Proposers should pay particular attention to the following:
